 Although each Doctor of Chiropractic's process will vary, generally you can expect to complete a full medical history questionnaire and "new patient" paperwork. After completing your paperwork, our North Wales/Lansdale Chiropractic office staff will give your information to Dr. Allen Conrad for your consultation. This consultation is your opportunity to express your health concerns and expectations, and to ask any questions you may have pertaining to the matter. It is also for Dr. Conrad to express his role in your chiropractic health care and discuss your health prognosis. A physical exam will be performed which may include orthopaedic testing, reflex assessments, muscle testing, and a specific Chiropractic evaluation. In some cases x-rays may be necessary to determine an exact diagnosis.Your Chiropractor will go over the results of the exam and any radiology reports with you. Then, depending on your situation, the Chiropractor may give you an adjustment and/or begin physical therapy, if needed. Adjustments shouldn't be painful, although you may feel some discomfort until the pressure in the joint is relieved. Depending on your condition, Dr. Conrad may schedule a series of visits for chiropractic care. Our office also utilizes massage therapy to help alleviate any discomfort you may have.We also have 4 massage therapists on staff, each with different types of pressure and technique to suit your specific condition.
